Continental risers are used to transition from below ground polyethylene pipe to above ground metallic pipe. These risers are used for the distribution of natural gas and LPG. Adapters are machined from solid bar stock (not welded). The casing is TIG welded to an adapter, providing a stronger and higher quality weld joint. Casing wall thickness exceeds ASTM requirements. Every part is leak tested. Bending is performed through roll bending (instead of rotary bending).
